Garmin Approach S20 Golf Band Review:
The Garmin Approach S20 appeals to golf and fitness lovers alike. As a premier mid-range golf tracking device on market, it packs together all of these super useful features into a sporty watch for a very modest price range. The Garmin brand rarely releases bad products, and the Approach S20 is definitely not one of them. The Approach S20 comes with more than 40,000 worldwide courses, which is pretty on par with all of Garmin’s watch products.
One of my favorite things about the Approach S20 is that its battery life exceeds even premium models by a few hours. 15 hours of battery life in GPS mode make the Approach S20 something that could be used for a weekend tournament without needing a recharge, whereas you run the risk of running out of juice with other options. There’s nothing worse than having and relying on the advantage of a golf tracking device, only to have to play the final few holes without it and see a significant drop in your game.
Performance of the Garmin Approach S20:
As you can imagine, the Garmin Approach S20 golf watch is a pretty nifty tool to own on and off the golf course. What I like about the Garmin brand is that they aim to connect their products together and build a community around them. With Garmin Connect, owners of Garmin products are able to analyze their stats but also compare them with other golfers. With the regular updates, Garmin’s service makes the pricing point for any of these products much more worth it.
These tools are designed to help golfers get better at mapping out courses ahead of time and preparing them better. The Garmin Approach S20 is perfect for those individuals that are committed to golfing and are interested in golf and activity tracking, but don’t want to splurge and drop $250+ on a more premium model.
Garmin Approach S20 Look and Feel:
One of the first things people notice on the Garmin Approach S20 is the band, which makes it look slightly sportier than the more formal looking models. While this may be effortless to pull off for the more active crowds, it can stand out in more professional settings. However, as activity monitors continue to become more mainstream, this isn’t something that will matter.
The Approach S20 comes in a variety of colors. One of our personal favorites is the white version because it pops out wherever you go. There are no noted issues of discomfort with the band or lack of production quality. The high resolution screen display is contained in a rounded, rectangular face that has a seamless aesthetic. In your hand, the Approach S20 feels like it should cost $150, a feature that many of its competitors lack.
Garmin Approach S20 Golf Features
While the Garmin Approach S20 gps golf watch may win some style points with active individuals, it still is loaded with amazing golf features. After all, it is a golf-tracking watch. The AutoShot golf shot tracking feature is very impressive, especially once you start to see improvements in the power and accuracy of your golf swing. While practice and analysis, these tools make improving your game a much more fruitful experience.
All the information goes to the Garmin Connect golf app, where users can put together an analytical understanding of how they performed versus previous performance not only by them but by other people playing the same golf course. Although the Garmin Connect app still needs a lot of work, it still functions fairly decent.
Chances are if you’re more than five minutes into your golf activity tracker search, you’ve run into several products by Garmin. The Garmin Approach S20 retails for around $150-$200, but there are alternatives where you can snag a new one for a lower price. Overall for the price you pay, the Garmin Approach S20 is one of your best options hands down. Check Amazon.com for more reviews and the lowest prices you will find online.
